It could be a card, bracelet, sticker or wearable. It depends on the request of the school.

What is RFID?

Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) is the use of radio waves to read and capture information stored on a tag attached to an object.

Can parents use the parent app without school participation?

No, the parent app is a compliment to the school dismissal app.

Can it be utilized for students that walk/bike/take public transport?

It is currently being used for walkers/bikers and other dismissal options but it currently is not used for public transportation.

Will we be notified when our children reach certain checkpoints and destinations? If so, how?

As long as you subscribe to text messaging you will be notified on entry and exit of bus or the dismissal path from school.

Where can I, as a parent, find the app?

The KYKS app is not a consumer app but there is a parent app that can be used in conjunction with the administrator app. The parent app is located on google play and apple store.

Does it give real-time bus location?

No, the application is student-focused with no real time application for bus tracking.

Can hackers find my child's location through your system?

No, We do not track the cards or the students. For added security there is not enough information on the cards to trace back to a child.

Will it be easy for my teachers and bus drivers to use?

Yes, it is as easy as using any phone.

What makes you different from other student ridership companies?

No integration to the school system is needed and it is very flexible with the ability to be mobile.

Are ID badges required to ride the bus?

No, but it is highly recommended for each student to have them for safety and efficiency reasons.
